sE 20 Year Warranty & 3 Year Zero Downtime Free Replacement Warranty
It's easy to offer 5, 10, 20 year warranties based on manufacturing defects, we've known that for years which is why our warranties have always been much better than just a number. For more than 5 years now we have offered a Free Replacement, ‘Zero Downtime’ warranty on all sE products. That means that if your product stops working or breaks in the first 3 years, so long as you haven't abused it in some way, we’ll replace it from stock the same day where possible, and you get a brand new mic with a full 3 year warranty from scratch.
We thought people would understand that this means a lot more than a 10 year warranty for manufacturing defects, because, let’s face it, if your mic has a defect, it won't take 10 years to show up. a year, maybe 18 months at the outside, so we, as a manufacturer know that this is just a marketing gizmo, and that 'Zero Downtime' and a new mic with full new warranty (effectively giving you a lifetime guarantee against defects anyway!) is much more important. After all, a long warranty is not much use to you when you are waiting 4 weeks to get your mic repaired somewhere right?
But, our customers have told us that big numbers are comforting, and because all of our products are built in house at our own facility, and all our capsules are hand crafted, we have the confidence to offer you not only our 3 year 'Zero Downtime' Free Replacement warranty (yes, it is a mouthful, we know!), but also a new sE Electronics 20 year limited warranty in addition to the 3 year 'Zero Downtime' replacement.
