Supercardioid sE Electronics Microphones
A supercardioid is a microphone whose response pattern resembles a cardioid but is exaggerated along the axis of maximum response, so that it is highly sensitive in one direction and insensitive in all others. Also known as super-directional microphone. The supercardioid pattern is very similar to, and often confused with, the hypercardioid pattern. The supercardioid pattern is slightly less directional than the hypercardioid pattern, but the rear lobe of sensitivity is also much smaller in the supercardioid.
